Do you train AI on my novel?
No. Your canon — characters, world, chapters — stays on your machine. PenForge only sends the current chapter's prompt to the AI provider you chose. We collect nothing.
What if I run out of AI credits?
Switch providers in one click. Gemini has a free tier that covers a lot of drafting for $0; cheap models like DeepSeek run about $6–15 for a full 200-chapter novel.
Is this a subscription? What happens if I cancel?
Yes — PenForge is subscription-only, billed monthly through Gumroad, updates included the whole time. If you cancel, PenForge locks to reading and exporting the novels you've already written until you resubscribe — nothing is deleted.
Mac, Windows, Linux?
All three. PenForge runs as a small local server and opens in your browser. No install ceremony.
Can I export for Amazon KDP / Royal Road?
Yes — on every plan, including Lite. One click compiles your whole novel into a print-ready manuscript — Save as PDF — plus Markdown and plain text.
Cancellation policy?
You can cancel from your Gumroad library. Your subscription runs through the end of the paid period, then billing stops — and your novels, chapters and exports stay on your machine.
